Painter and interior designer, Priscilla Alden Roach, has taken those two skills and combined them into a love for resurrecting discarded furniture pieces. The creative process starts the minute she comes across that old dresser, chair, stool, bowl, etc. and doesn’t stop until she finishes designing and painting it. Each piece she creates requires many, many hours of preparation, designing, and painting. Each piece is unique. Inspiration for her art comes from flowers, fruit, vegetables, animals, fish, insects, American Folk Art, and ethnic patterns from around the world as well as her surroundings in the beautiful foothills of Northern California.
Priscilla graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Fine Arts. She has won awards at the state and local levels, and her work can be found as far away as India and Ireland.
