Chris Foster‘s paintings have become more abstract in the past couple of years. She explains that communicating through color, shape and texture are what excite her to paint intuitively. She use water media on canvas and applies layers of texture mediums to give the surface interest. Chris is challenged by the unpredictability of painting on this textured uneven surface.
“My art gives me a way to learn something new, and react to the present moment. I am always experimenting and trying new techniques. And in the process, I hope to communicate an idea or emotion to the viewer. My joy in life is painting.
