“This scarf was done while I was studying with Agus Ismoyo and Nia Fliam in Yogyakarta, Indonesia,” recalls Keith Smith. “I used multiple layers of stamping with copper Indonesian batik stamps (tjaps) and made considerable use of hand batiking using tjanting tools, to create a richly complex design.”
